Upon graduation comes enrichment. Ten rupees a day generates a 30,000
rupee ($600) endowment that transforms a poor farmer's daughter into one
of the richest women in her district: a woman who can avoid the typical
marriage at the age of thirteen; who can support her family by herself;
and who will pass her values to her children of both genders.
But what good are vocational skills when there are no jobs? To
address this - and to make the school financially
self-sufficient - graduates are guaranteed jobs producing export-quality
goods that are marketed in affluent population centers, generating
revenues that will support the school and help it expand.
This model disrupts the poverty cycle with a simultaneous infusion of
education, capital, and economic opportunity.
