The Pardada Pardadi School comes together four times a year to celebrate different occasions.
New Admission Day:
This is celebrated on the first Sunday of the first week of June. The newly-admitted students are given a warm welcome by the staff and the students of the senior classes. A welcome speech by the Principal is followed by student performances to the atmosphere. The presence of the parents of new students on this day is a must.
Independence Day and Republic Day:
Independence Day is celebrated every August 15th and Republic Day is celebrated every January 26th. Other than raising a flag, staff and students take the extra step to interact with villagers, discuss their problems, and exchange views on different issues. Parents of all the students are also invited to be part of this function.
Annual Day:
Students eagerly wait all year for the month of November to celebrate Annual Day, held on the third or fourth Sunday of the month. Competitions and performances are the major attractions of the day, with regular guests from India and abroad attending to encourage them to stay focused on their goals.
Saturday activities:
Cultural programs are a regular part of school timetable and are held on every second Saturday. In rotation every child gets an opportunity to perform on the stage on that day.
Competitions are held to develop confidence in students. Areas of competition include drawing, painting, handwriting, sports, debate, and general knowledge. PPES plans to introduce many more similar activities on regular basis.
Students play softball, volleyball, badminton, and soccer. The students occasionally get the opportunity to play a friendly game of softball against the students of the American Embassy School in Delhi.
Exposure visits:
Throughout the year, students are taken for exposure trips to places like Delhi, Agra, and nearby areas of Anupshahar. Since many of these girls have never seen big cities, these fun outings are also huge learning experiences.
The students are also encouraged to participate in the programs organized by other organizations. As part of these programs, our students have visited places in India as far off as the Andaman Islands, Nainital, the Teerthan Valley, and Manali.
