Meet Anju
Anju's family is small -- it consists of her, her brother and her grandmother. Their dilapidated house has only one room, and, like most houses in the village, no toilet. To get water, Anju must collect it from the government water pump. As a result, Anju's life consists of a lot more than just school -- she must make money to feed her family, obtain food, gather water, and of course, keep the house clean.
In spite of these challenges, Anju makes time for school. She enjoys dancing, and would like to study Math once she completes her schooling at Pardada Pardadi.
Anju is just one of the hundreds of girls helped by Pardada Pardadi. Want to help? Go here for ways you can make a difference for Anju and other girls just like her.
